If you were to build a business and you really feel it’s feasible and all… what would you name it with? A man like Neil Crespi would probably display his own name all over it.. Kidding, Neil :D mwah! we’re friends.. and so? ^_^

Just where do businessmen get names for their biz?  There are online business names generator available, in case you didn’t know.  It’s a helpful tool that you might want to check before going to the Dept of Trade and Industry with a business name you learned to love only to find out that that name is already taken.  Trade names and brands is very essential.  It should be short, understandable, hard to forget and easy to remember.

Ever heard of this great king? I wonder if a man like him would ever need to work… or build a business in order to live comfortably. I bet not. Is he prolly a Lindemann Trustee?

Every onces in a while we hear about men (or women) with Golden touch when it comes to business.  When venturing into business, it’s wise to have someone as your mentor to guide you through the process of setting up, trying out and succeeding (or failing).   Someone who was in the similar business and has gained wisdom and knowledge through years of experience.  Would be nice if you have someone in the family, a friend or someone whom you know and respect in the field.  If and only if you can’t think of one, there are a lot of mentoring services offered around.  Just search through the web and directory listings.

If your skills are at creating and designing, you have a very high potential in earning beyond your dreams. I’ll share with you some points on how to do it.   So you’re a tattoist? You may start up with some free tattoo designs and eventually come up with income generating ideas in tattooing.  In this area, one should realize that this should be first and foremost a form of art, developed into a business.  Like any other business, it should be driven with passion, or else, you won’t get anywhere.

Consider your personal tattooing experience. What could you possibly know about running a shop? Who are you going to hire? and things like that… skills, interest, and even the cash to start your own shop.

Workers stay in the office from day in and day out. Sometimes they get too “immune” with the work environment that they won’t realize their life span is depleted by the minute :D   Skin problems (you’d need to contact the Louisville cosmetic plastic surgeons for this), heart problems, breathing problems and many more.   As businessmen, employers should take human factors into consideration.

And for workers, here’s a very helpful article written by Rebecca Ruiz of News.com.au:

FROM uncomfortable offices to poor air quality and depression-inducing stress, your workplace might be worse for your health than you thought.

Some businesses supply gym memberships, weekly massages and even free bicylces for their staff, but in order to remain well experts urge employees to be pro-active about their own health while at work.

Assume the position

“Workers need to listen to their bodies,” says Karen Jacobs, a clinical professor of occupational therapy at Boston University who advises desk-bound workers complaining of muscle stiffness or discomfort.

According to the Occupational Health and Safety Administration in the US, an estimated 1.8 million workers suffer from such musculoskeletal disorders, including elbow tendinitis, wrist pain and lower back problems.

I’ve read about these dentists in San Diego one time when I was browsing through the web. It has listings of local dentists where and whom you could get your pearly whites done. Services include root canal, dental extraction, teeth cleaning and other dental care procedure.

If you just graduated from Dentistry and is thinking of setting up your own clinic, here are some points to consider:

1. Regular agencies, permits and clearances - Board of Dentistry, Department of Health, etc.

2. Your employees - Dental hygienists and dental assistants.

3. Your office needs - equipments for employees and clients, tax, compensation
4. A checklist for a successful practice:
- Dental license (Florida Board of Dentistry)
- Business license
- Proper zoning
- Building permit (when building or remodeling an office)
- DEA license
- X-ray machine registration
- IRS tax ID number (see accountant)
- State Employment Security Division (application for employees)
- Personal property tax worksheet (county tax assessor)
- Florida infection-control regulations
- Waste-disposal regulations
- Insurance

Overworking could kill.  Sure we need moolah to get going, but we should try to check our motivation, our lifestyle before it’s too late.  You could not just lose your hair (and money for getting a Manhattan hair transplant) but you may lose your sanity as well.  I’d like to share an interesting story I read from News.com.au on beating workaholism:

ANDREW Griffiths worked seven days a week, starting each day at 6am and not finishing until 9pm. He put on 50 kilos and his marriage of 10 years broke apart.

His job ruled his life.

“I’d always been a workaholic,” Mr Griffiths, owner of the Oceanic Marketing Group said.

“I based a lot of my self-worth on my success or failure in business.

“That translated to me working harder and harder to prove to the world I was successful. Everything else in my life became secondary.”

All of his relationships suffered, not just with his wife. And due to lack of exercise and poor diet, Mr Griffiths’ weight gain saw him tip the scales at 150 kilos.
